March 2008 - Issue No. 111
The third 2008 issue of Stuart Cameron's monthly delights is yet another great mix of tracks from both sides of the Atlantic. Familiar names are mixed with newcomers and the outcome is always good and interesting. Some of the stand-out tracks are listed below but take a listen to the whole collection. This is an excellent month's selection!
Billy Yates - "Like A Radio"
A long-awaited new CD from one of my favouites. Billy always gives excellent value and is a superb songwriter. This is a cut from the new album "That's Why I Run" and quite frankly it is a must have CD. Billy always has time for his fans as I found out on three visits to CMA Fest in Nashville. I am sure a full review will find its way on to this site in the near future.
Narvel Felts - "Fraulein"
A real blast from the past is Narvel but still churning out the songs. This is a great version of this old song.
Victoria Shaw - There's A Song in There Somewhere
There certainly is and Victoria is already high in the Hotdisc charts with this catchy number.
Hank Cochran - You Wouldn't Know Love
Veteran Nashville songwriter who sings a great self-penned song. Great stuff and well worth a listen.
Chilli Gold - Waterfalls
Talented English girl with a self-written song which shows she has a bright future
Bryan Chalker with Ed Wooden
Another old-hand at the British scene with a very interesting version of the old Carter Family Classic
